The Long Distance Ski Championship

Event: Jizerska
Date: 10th February 2019
Distance: 50km
Location: Bedrichov Czech Republic

“After Toblach-Cortina finished off the Visma Alp Trophy, the tour heads north to Czech Republic and the Jizerska. Jizerska is a major event attracting over 7000 skiers. The event offers a great atmosphere with a “folkfest” at the start and finish area in Bedrichov, where there are many Pivovars offering regional cheese and ham plates and locally brewed Czech beer. The Pro Teams have a climb after about 9km in Na Knejpe, a sprint after 25km in Jizera and a second new climb after the Smedava uphill after about 31km of skiing, which Morten Eide Pedersen normally is the strongest skier up to. The Jizerska race is the last in the five weekends long January Madness, and the Pro Team skiers gets a well-deserved training period before the next big event…

Stand by for Season IX Event 8 of 12 being releveled tomorrow at CET 0800!”
